The Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor is a four storey Edwardian terraced townhouse located in the city centre, within one mile of Edinburgh Castle and the bustling Princes Street. Decorated in hues of cream, green and deep red, the 183 guestrooms combine traditional style with contemporary dark wood furnishings and include satellite television with pay movies and video games, PlayStations, Internet connections, minibars and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms include hair dryers, shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries.
After breakfast, guests can head to the lounge area to browse through complimentary newspapers and check their e mail via wireless broadband Internet access. In the evening, guests can enjoy British and international dishes in the traditional restaurant, watch major sporting events on the big screen TV in the bar and relax with a coffee in the Edwardian themed lounge. Although the hotel does not have onsite leisure facilities, guests are welcome to use the LivingWell Health Club at the Hilton Caledonian hotel, 900 metres away, at a discounted rate. Frequent daily bus services run from the bus station adjacent to the Terminal to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge. Taxis are also available from a taxi rank adjacent to the Terminal. The hotel is within 100 metres of Haymarket railway station. An Airsaver ticket covers a single fare, plus same day unlimited travel on Lothian buses after arrival in the city. Taxis can be hailed in the street. The centre of Edinburgh is best explored on foot.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A8 towards the city centre. Pass the zoo on the left and Murrayfield Stadium and Haymarket train station on the right. At the traffic lights, take the next left into Grosvenor Street.
